In May 2024 we launched our brand new self-service membership platform, MemberSPACE.

We encourage all existing members to re-register on the new platform. Although we will retain previous records, registering on MemberSPACE comes with the benefits of numerous new interactive features.

Donors are not full members, (unless registered separately), but do have access to certain service & events benefits and they also support our work programmes through their donations.

Starts at just £7.50 per month, billed quarterly.

Catalyst's Background:


The organisation was first conceived in 2016 by founding directors Sandra Griffiths and Tippa Naphtali, and was incorporated as a Community Interest Company in June 2017.


Catalyst supports community organisations, social enterprises, faith groups or businesses that have a significant African and Caribbean mental health / wellbeing service user base.

We are proud to share that Black Thrive Global has been awarded £5 million from The National Lottery Fund to deliver a five-year programme: Thriving Futures - Scaling Systems Change.

Part of a recent Lottery grant will support the Therapy Care Initiative Pilot, a 1-year programme that will identify up to 10 recently bereaved UK families that require therapeutic support.
