OUR FUNDING & DEVELOPMENT

Coins with lightbulb

Robust business planning & return on investment

CATALYST 4 CHANGE is funded through a mixture of grant funding, sponsorship, self-generated income and our membership fees.

CATALYST is governed by directors and receives input from its members and other sector professionals.

COMMUNITY INTEREST, COMMUNITY FOCUS

Our Business Plan will include a return on social investment approach and full cost recovery strategy in order to generate a level of income that will ensure future sustainability.

CATALYST 4 CHANGE is a Community Interest Company.

A Community Interest Company (CIC) is a limited company, but with some special additional features. CIC's are created for the use of enterprises that want to conduct a business or other activities that are for community benefit, and not purely for private profit or advantage.

CIC’s are one of the fastest growing community oriented enterprise movements in the country.

OUR HISTORY AND WHAT WE KNOW

The organisation was first conceived in 2015 by founding directors Sandra Griffiths and Tippa Naphtali, and was formally incorporated as a Community Interest Company on 19 June 2017.

At CATALYST 4 CHANGE we know that African and Caribbean communities are holders of huge reserves of social capital, of assets and resources, skills and talents, knowledge and experience, yet much of this remains unknown and little understood or utilised by our public agencies.
